Message From Mr. RitthalerI will need to collect $75 per student to help cover the cost of motel rooms during our CBA State Marching Festival in Denver October 25th - 28th, and the NAU Marching Festival in Flagstaff on October 31st - November 1st. there will be a total of 4 nights spent in hotel rooms. Please make checks out to MCHS. The money should be turned in to me. Please have this turned in by October 17th. Thank You.

Home Game Schedule (Concession Schedule for Boosters!)
All Games are on Friday evenings, starting at 7:00 p.m. Band students must be to the field by 6:30 p.m. on the day of the game.All students are expected to perform during home football games. They need to arrive 1/2 hour before the game, and stay until the very end. These performances (pep band and halftime show) are important for practicing and also a part of the student's grade.

- September 12TH - Steamboat Springs at Montezuma Cortez
- September 26TH - Rifle at Montezuma Cortez
- October 10TH - Palisade at Montezuma Cortez
- October 24TH - Delta at Montezuma Cortez
Miss the Picnic/Pool Party?Please make sure you attend the mandatory booster meeting on September 8th at 6:00 p.m. in the high school band room. In the meantime, please feel free to print the marching season calendar, review the MCHS Band Booster Handbook, and complete the Booster Parent Information Form. Please bring your completed information form to the meeting!

Mark your calendars for the week of September 8th - September 12th. There will be extra practices this week. Ritt will provide a more detailed rehearsal schedule of this week later. Every student must attend the clinic rehearsals! Mr. Scott Hickey, who arranges our music, will be there to provide insight and expertise.

Welcome back Marching Panthers! Band camp is in Cortez this year, at the Cortez Middle School field. Band camp will be two weeks long: 7/21-7/25 and 8/4-8/8. Practice begins each day at 7:45 SHARP until 12:00. Make sure your student wears appropriate attire, sunscreen, and has lots of water!
