Schedule for the 2009 Colorado West Marching Invitational - Grand Junction
Friday, October 2nd
- 6:30am – 9:00am Normal Practice. After practice load equipment.
- 3:00pm Leave for Grand Junction from MCHS
- 7:00pm Arrive in Grand Junction. Eat at the Mall. Bring enough money to feed yourself dinner.
- 9:00pm Arrive at Palisade High School
- 10:30pm Lights out.
Saturday, October 3rd
- 6:00am Wake up.
- 6:45am Breakfast (provided by the band parents)
- 7:30am Walk through of the show.
- 8:00am Depart for Parade Line Up.
- 8:30am Parade line up. Unload equipment and dress in uniform.
- 10:00am Parade begins. At the end of the parade, load up equipment and depart for Stocker Stadium. Keep uniforms
- Eat lunch at Stocker Stadium provided by the band parents. They will be in close proximity to where the busses are parked. Field shows start at 12:15. Watch as many bands as you can to get use to the field.
- 1:45pm Be in uniform with your instrument at the equipment trucks.
- 2:15pm Warm up.
- 2:30pm Report to the gate.
- 2:45pm Show time! After our show, please check in your uniforms and equipment. Watch as many other groups as you can.
- 4:15pm Awards. We will depart as soon as the awards are over.
- 10:00pm Estimated time to arrive home.
Be sure to bring with you your white shoes, white socks, white band shirt, sleeping bag, pillow, towel and toiletries. We will be staying at Palisade High School. No open speaker stereos please and no skate boards. PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH YOUR PARENTS!
